She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology in 2021. During her time as a research scientist, she has focused on understanding basic biological processes. As a graduate student, she studied DNA replication in eukaryotic cells, and as a post-doc, was interested in uncovering the underlying mechanism by which prokaryotic cells delay cell division after exposure to DNA damage.
