Luann (Jahn) Brames graduated from Forest Park High School in southern Indiana. She transferred to Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK in 1995 and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1998. As an undergraduate student she worked closely with the Office of Admission as a student ambassador, a tele-counselor and a student assistant, and was offered an admission counselor position upon graduation. She eagerly accepted the position and was excited to see where this position would take her. She had no idea that 18 years later she would still be calling Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK her home. She now serves as the Director of Freshmen Admission and oversees all aspects of freshmen recruitment.

During her time at Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK she has worked with hundreds of college-bound students and their families. She always encourages students to visit a wide range of colleges and universities in order to help them determine where they feel most comfortable. She also emphasizes to students that it’s okay to enter college without knowing exactly what they want to study or do for the rest of their lives. One of the best aspects of college is the opportunity to explore and discover oneself. 

Throughout her professional career in higher education Luann has served as a member of the Indiana Association for College Admission Counseling where she served on several committees and presented during the annual state conference. She also served on the Indiana ACT State Council for ten years and served both as secretary and council chair. Luann is also a member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC).

Luann currently resides on the west side of Indianapolis with her husband (and high school sweetheart) of 19 years and their son. In her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening and spending time outdoors (hiking, biking, camping and even rappelling in her college years).
