Nikki Ayala ‘26
Nursing
Nikki Ayala, a senior from Fishers, Indiana, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Biology. She aspires to become a Registered Nurse in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, where she currently works as a Patient Care Intern, and later plans to further her education as a Nurse Practitioner or CRNA. On campus, Nikki serves as a Presidential Ambassador, sits on the executive board of the Student Nurses Association, works as an Orientation Leader, and supports fellow students as both a nursing peer tutor and an LSON student worker. She can often be found in the Evans Center or enjoying a chai from Starbucks. Outside of her academic and leadership roles, Nikki enjoys spending time with friends and family, working on puzzles, and baking sweet treats for those around her. As a Presidential Ambassador, she looks forward to connecting with individuals who have made 麻豆视频APK feel like home.

Emma Beimfohr is a senior at 麻豆视频APK, double majoring in Business Management and Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Originally from Lafayette, IN, she graduated in 2022 from William Henry Harrison High School. Emma is a dedicated member of the university's women's cross country and track and field teams. In addition to her athletic commitments, she serves as a Presidential Ambassador and is an active member of Women in Business, Women of Marian, and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. In her free time, Emma loves to competitively swim, twirl baton, thrift, and spend time with friends and family. She is excited about her role as a Presidential Ambassador and looks forward to getting to know more people and expanding her network.

Ben Boroff is a sophomore studying Physiology of Exercise at 麻豆视频APK. Originally from Portland, Oregon, he moved to Boise, Idaho, in 2016. On campus, he is a member of the championship-winning cycling team, and outside of racing, he volunteers at a community bike shop and enjoys Formula 1 sim-racing. Ben is both a St. Luke’s Pre-PA Scholar and a San Damiano Scholar, aspiring to become a Physician Assistant after completing his undergraduate degree. Grateful for the support of his family and friends, he is dedicated to pursuing excellence both academics and athletics.

Caelen Carnes is honored to be serving her first year as a Presidential Ambassador. She is a junior majoring in Nursing with a minor in Biology. Caelen spent two years as a member of 麻豆视频APK’s competitive dance team and is now in her third year as an Army ROTC cadet. She is passionate about leadership and personal growth, both in herself and in helping others develop. Through her experiences in ROTC, nursing, and campus involvement, Caelen has gained a deep appreciation for service, teamwork, and mentorship—values she hopes to carry forward as she represents the university and community.

Lucas Cummings hails from Kokomo, Indiana and graduated from Kokomo High School in 2022. At 麻豆视频APK he aims to be as active as possible through Presidential Ambassadors, his studies in the Klipsch Educators College and organizations such as San Damiano Scholars, Kappa Delta Pi, and Campus Ministry. Lucas aspires to become a high school world history teacher capable of sparking a flame of passion for learning in the students he encounters and to love as Christ does. In his spare time, he enjoys socializing with friends, exploring campus and Indianapolis, reading, writing, researching, and playing video games. Lucas traveled to three different countries this summer: Kenya, Tanzania and Italy! He is honored to serve and share with others the treasures of 麻豆视频APK.

Psychology
Lian Fernandez is a first generation college student from Mexico City. She studies psychology and communications as she would like to help those underrepresented in her community and advocate for their health resources in the future. Her passion for advocacy to bring equity grew as she interned with bilingual recruitment and admissions through the Pathways to Careers program. Her work as an intern with Girls Incorporated of Greater Indianapolis was highlighted at the Indiana Work-Based Learning Conference as she won the statewide award of “Work-Based Learner of the Year (College).” Aside from being a student athlete, she enjoys being a member of various clubs and is the Vice President for the Prospanica Marian Student Chapter. She enjoys hiking and road trips with her family. She is incredibly grateful for her blessings and especially her family. Lian is very excited for her first year as a PA!

Gracie Fields is a student at 麻豆视频APK, where she is pursuing a double major in Exercise Science and Psychology with the goal of becoming a physical therapist. She is a member of the 麻豆视频APK cross country and track teams and enjoys building community with her teammates and peers. Outside of athletics, Gracie is actively involved in Women of Marian Presidential Ambassadors and Athletes in Action. She also finds joy in serving at her church and contributing to her community. In her free time, Gracie enjoys spending time with friends and family and exploring new coffee shops.

Elaine Garcia comes from a family of five, including her parents, younger brother, and younger sister. She also shares her home with her adorable dog, Bruno. From a young age, Elaine has been passionate about working with children, which inspired her to pursue a major in P-12 education so she can teach kids of all ages. She loves to travel and had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Spain for a month through 麻豆视频APK. Beyond her role as a PA, Elaine is actively involved in the Latino Organizations on campus. In her free time, she enjoys baking, shopping, and spending quality time with her family. Looking ahead, Elaine aspires to become a teacher abroad, with hopes of returning to Spain.

Adam Ghering grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and graduated from Roger Bacon High School in 2024. He is studying Finance and Accounting with a minor in Ministry Studies and serves as co-president of the Ultimate Frisbee Club. In addition to being a Presidential Ambassador, Adam worked as an Orientation Leader this past summer and is currently working in the Office of Student Activities and the Fitness Center. He is also a member of the San Damiano Scholars Program and Knights for Life. Adam enjoys traveling—having visited Alaska, Italy, and the Caribbean—as well as playing volleyball, swimming, spending time with friends, and volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul. His favorite spot on campus is the EcoLab, where he enjoys walking the trails and relaxing outdoors.

Grace Goecke is a sophomore from Spencerville, Ohio, pursuing a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. She hopes to become a large animal veterinarian specializing in dairy beef cattle. Grace often shadows veterinarians and works regularly on her family farm with cattle. Along with being a Presidential Ambassador, Grace is part of the chemistry club and track team at Marian. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, staying active in the weight room, and attending Sunday Mass at Marian to strengthen her faith.

Lucy Hart is a sophomore from Muncie, Indiana, and a 2024 graduate of Burris Laboratory School. She is majoring in Business Management with double minors in Ministry Studies and Criminal Justice. On campus, Lucy is involved in a variety of roles, serving as a Presidential Ambassador and San Damiano Scholar, the Special Events Coordinator for the Campus Activities Board, a Resident Assistant for the Office of Residential and Commuter Life, and a Student Employee in the Mailroom. She has also worked as an Orientation Leader for New Student Orientation in the First-Year Experience Office. Lucy is an active member of Women in Business, the Women of Marian 1851 Circle, Sacred Choir, and Intramural Sports. In her free time, she loves spending time with friends, visiting the campus chapels, and attending campus events. Lucy is excited to make the most of her sophomore year at Marian and her first year serving as a Presidential Ambassador.

Emma Hendrix grew up on a farm in Rockport, Indiana, and graduated from South Spencer High School in 2022. She is now a senior at 麻豆视频APK majoring in Marketing with minors in Graphic Design and Communication, along with specializations in Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Emma aspires to work in a marketing agency focused on strategy and implementation. In addition to serving as a Presidential Ambassador, she is President of Women in Business and the American Marketing Association. She has gained valuable experience through her internship in 麻豆视频APK’s Office of Marketing and Communications, where she contributed to the university’s website redesign and led social media auditing projects. Emma is also the co-owner of EM&E Photography. Coming to Marian with no prior connections to the university or Indianapolis, she has built a strong community and thrives in her leadership roles. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends in Alumni Hall and taking walks in the EcoLab.

Melannie Madson is from West Lafayette, Indiana. She is in her senior year of pursuing a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with minors in Mathematics and Spanish. She aspires to teach in a public grade-school, helping to shape children into more compassionate and curious learners. Along with being a Presidential Ambassador, Melannie holds a variety of jobs and leadership roles across campus. She works as both a Marian and K-12 ambassador, the lead First Year Seminar mentor, and within the library as a part of the staff and as a tutor. She also enjoys her time spent as the Vice President of College Mentors for Kids, being the co-president of Kappa Delta Pi Educators’ Honors Society, and a volunteer tennis coach for elementary students. On campus, Melannie loves to spend her time in the chapels or at the tea garden. In her free time, Melannie enjoys going on long walks with friends and finding new ways to get organized. She is greatly looking forward to her final year as a Marian Presidential Ambassador.

Katherine Moreno Jiménez, originally from Venezuela, is a Marketing major with minors in Psychology and Spanish at 麻豆视频APK. She aspires to pursue a career in marketing, become a business owner, and help others grow their businesses by building strong brands and effective marketing strategies. On campus, Katherine is actively involved in ALPFA, Prospanica, and SOL, and she occasionally volunteers at school and community events. In her free time, she loves spending time with her parents, going on “dates” with her dog, Hachi, and exploring new restaurants with her best friends. Katherine’s favorite spot on campus is Alumni Hall, where students gather to study, hang out, and enjoy coffee (or matcha).

Guadalupe Pineda-Ramos is a senior at 麻豆视频APK majoring in Psychology with minors in Spanish Studies and Social Work, and a specialization in Latino Community Mental Health. Originally from Elkhart, Indiana, she chose Marian for its close-knit community and strong foundation in faith. Guadalupe is actively involved in campus life, serving as President of the Psychology Club, Vice President of the Student Organization of Latinos (SOL), a K–12 Ambassador, and a returning Presidential Ambassador. She aspires to become a Child Therapist after completing her undergraduate studies, with the goal of supporting and empowering children through therapeutic care.

Lili Popčak is a sophomore Psychology major with minors in Ministry Studies and Peace and Justice Studies. She is from just outside of Pittsburgh, PA (Steubenville to be exact!) and is a proud homeschool graduate. As a San Damiano Scholar, she is active in on-campus liturgical ministry. Other involvements this year include Student Government Association where she serves as the Vice President of Mission and Identity, Project Sunshine where she serves as Treasurer, and of course being a proud Presidential Ambassador! When she’s not in class, studying, praying, or fulfilling SGA duties, Lili loves quality time with loved ones, listening to 2000s pop-punk, and worrying about how the Steelers are doing this season. As a self-declared D1 napper, one of her favorite places on campus to nap is in the beautiful EcoLab here on campus! Lili is so excited to meet new people, make new connections, and represent 麻豆视频APK as a Presidential Ambassador!

Natalie Priser is a senior from Indianapolis, IN, and a 2022 graduate of Bishop Chatard High School. She is pursuing a triple major in Business Management, Marketing, and Finance along with double minors in Pastoral Leadership and Accounting. On campus, Natalie is deeply involved in student leadership and engagement. She serves as a Presidential Ambassador and an Intern in the Office of the President, in addition to being a San Damiano Scholar. She is the President of the Campus Activities Board, Vice President of Finance for the Student Government Association, a Student Financial Analyst and Involvement Ambassador in the Office of Student Activities, and a Student Success Specialist in the Exchange. She also previously served as Student Coordinator for NSO Programs in the First-Year Experience Office. Beyond her leadership roles, Natalie is an active member of Women in Business and the Women of Marian 1851 Circle. In her free time, Natalie enjoys spending time with friends, hanging out in one of her many campus offices, or visiting her favorite Marian spots—Alumni Hall and the Norman Center. Audrey Roberts is from Greenfield, Indiana. She is double majoring in Business Management and Logistics and Supply Chain Management with a specialization in Human Resources Management and a minor in French for the Professions. As someone who loves to be involved in her community, she is a founding member of Chamber Singers, a Marian Ambassador, the Event Coordinator for Women in Business, and the Homecoming Coordinator for Campus Activity Board. Audrey's favorite place on Campus is the Admissions Office in Stokely Mansion because it is a warm and inviting space.

Lainey Roth is a junior from Belmont, Michigan, studying Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology. She is a member of the women’s cross country and track and field teams and values the friendships and lessons athletics have given her, including teamwork, leadership, and hard work. In her free time, Lainey enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and completing volunteer and shadowing hours as she works toward her goal of becoming an athletic trainer. She also loves traveling—spending most Christmas and spring breaks in Florida and summers at Silver Lake, Michigan. Lainey’s favorite place on campus is the track, where she gets to hang out with her teammates every day and make memories.

Chemical Engineering and Chemistry
Jake Tran grew up in Clarksville, Maryland, but graduated from Zionsville Community High School in 2023. He began studying chemical engineering and chemistry at Marian, hoping to work in pharmaceutical production when he was 16 years old. Jake is involved on campus as an Engineering Peer Mentor for the Witchger School of Engineering and off campus as the founding member of Tranquil Tutoring. This freelance tutoring service works with students online and in person from Zionsville, Indiana to Los Angeles, California. In his free time, Jake loves to play video games, watch football, run, and have impromptu conversations. Jake’s favorite place on campus is the Alumni Hall, including Starbucks, where he studies often and meets with friends when he has free time on campus. His favorite part of being at Marian is the ease of getting to know new people, asking for help from professors, and exploring new areas around campus. Jake is excited to represent Marian as a Presidential Ambassador, with the opportunity to meet interesting people and make his mark on the world.

Faith Vernon is from Indianapolis, Indiana. Currently, she is a sophomore studying Secondary Education and English with a minor in English as a New Language. She aspires to cultivate a love for learning in her future students and advocate for multilingual learners. In addition to being a Presidential Ambassador, Faith is a K-12 Pathways Ambassador, Peer Tutor in the Academic Commons, and a member of Kappa Delta Pi Educators’ Honors Society. She also enjoys popping into other clubs and events on campus. Over the summer, Faith studied abroad in Kenya and Tanzania and worked as an Orientation Leader for Marian. When she’s not studying or working, Faith loves to travel, hammock, try new foods, and take long naps. Her favorite spots on campus are the library and the Unity Center (both just so happen to be great napping spots).

Clare Vogel is a sophomore from Bloomington, IL where she attended Central Catholic High School. She is studying psychology with minors in Applied Educational Studies and Ministry Studies. At Marian, Clare is involved in the San Damiano Scholars Program and is involved in numerous ministry aspects on campus including serving as an Assistant Sacristan. Clare is heavily involved in athletics working as an Intramural Student and as a Game Day Ticket Manager. She is also the Vice President and Student Government Association Representative for Psychology Club as well as the SGA Representative for National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). In her free time, she enjoys going on long walks, journaling, talking with her family, and frequenting the chapel. Clare’s favorite chapel on campus is the St. Joseph Chapel because of the beautiful art and architecture! She is ecstatic about meeting people this year as her first year being a Presidential Ambassador!

Taylor Young is from Columbus, Indiana but currently lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is going into her senior year and is studying Nursing at 麻豆视频APK. Taylor grew up taking ballet classes and eventually started trying out for cheerleading throughout secondary school. Taylor is a fourth-year member of the 麻豆视频APK Gameday Cheerleading team. She attends weekly Delight meetings on campus. Currently, she works in a hospital in Fort Wayne as a student nurse intern in the CVICU. She is also a Peer Assisted Learning Leader for Anatomy and Physiology in the Academic Commons. After receiving her BSN, Taylor plans to return to Marian to complete the Nurse Anesthesia track. Taylor enjoys spending time with friends and family, relaxing outside, and reading books. Taylor’s favorite place on campus is the tea garden because she loves sitting there to relax and appreciate nature.
